The Ocean Kayak Venus 11 is a sit-on-top kayak that has been making waves in the kayaking community. Designed specifically for women, this kayak is comfortable, stable, and easy to carry making it perfect for dog moms.
Ocean Kayak took the feedback of their female customers and created a seat specifically tailored for women. The slightly wider seat is designed for a woman’s physique and is set lower within the desk to accommodate a woman's center of gravity. By doing so the balance point of the kayak is closer to a woman’s center of gravity making it much more comfortable and stable for women paddlers.
As the design of this kayak was focused on the needs of women, it is super lightweight (boat weight: 47 lbs) for women to carry single-handed. It also has an easy car topping handle system. This thoughtful addition ensures that you can hoist the kayak onto your roof rack single-handedly.
If you are a dog mom, looking to bring your dog on your kayaking adventure. The rear hatch is a perfect nook for your dog to lie down in; just be sure to detach the bungee cords before your journey.
As a solo kayak, it might offer less space than a tandem one, but it compensates with additional storage at the front. This comes in the form of a 6-inch Cam Lock hatch complete with a storage bucket tank.
The comfy Venus 11 is a hardshell, tandem, sit-on-top kayak made from single-layer polyethylene, a highly durable and resilient material. Lots of kayaks are made from this material because of its durability and resistance to impact.
Measuring 10 feet 8 inches in length, this women’s kayak has plenty of room for both you and a small to medium-sized dog to fit comfortably.
With a width of 28.5 inches, the kayak is very stable making it perfect for both beginners and enthusiasts alike.
This kayak, though compact, is large enough to be incredibly stable. Whether you are on flat water or slow moving rivers, you won’t have trouble maintaining a straight course, and the effort needed for continuous course correction is minimal.
